Site-Based Walk-In Services
On-site Walk-In Services for individuals experiencing crisis situations or needing assistance for linkage to mental health services are an important resource offered by Crisis Response at Spokane Mental Health. Individuals can come to SMH between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with or without an appointment, to meet with a Master's level clinician trained in crisis intervention/resolution. There is no cost or age requirement for this service. Individuals receive assistance obtaining mental health services with SMH, other Spokane County Regional Support Network (SCRSN) mental health providers or other community professionals. Clinicians can assess risk factors including suicidal or homicidal ideation and ability to meet health and safety needs. Clinicians also provide supportive listening and formulate plans of care that can include stabilization services and linkage to inpatient hospitalization as needed.
On-site Walk-In Services include:
- Supportive listening from a trained clinician to deescalate crises;
- Linkage or referrals to on-going mental health services through SCRSN mental health providers, or community professionals;
- Risk assessments for children, adolescents, adults, or elders;
- Stabilization services for adolescents, adults, and elders needing assistance to maintain stabilization in the community.
